Yasser Abu Shaqra:
A Syrian-Palestinian theater writer and trainer working in the Syrian cultural field. After graduating in theater from the Higher Institute of Arts in Damascus, he conducted many interactive theater workshops to train children and interactive theater trainers. These workshops resulted in a number of performances. A play he wrote “Before Dinner” was published, and toured in different versions in Beirut, Baghdad, New York, San Francisco, Paris, Tokyo. The play has been translated into English and Japanese. He currently lives in Toulouse, South of France and works on several theater projects, as well as an independent writer.
