Baian Aljeratly
Baian Aljeratly, is an actress. She studied Architecture at the University of Hama before she started to be on stage in her chosen-home Leipzig in 2014. As a member of the performance collective Bar oder Ehda she starred in the productions Trambout (2015, LOFFT), Jurassica Pack (2016, Neues Schauspiel). She collaborated with Philipp Urrutia in Ein unbekannter Freund (Unknown Friend / 2015, LOFFT) and Nocturno (2016, Institut für Zukunft) and was covering the INTRO Festival as a blogger in arabic language. She played the only bilingual role (german-arabic) in Romeo und Julia (2016, Staassauspiel Dresden – Bürgerbühne). 2017 she starred in Iphigenie at the Volksbühne in Berlin under the direction of Omar Abusaada and the author Mohamad Al Attar. In this she played an actress aspirant named Bayan that is set up in a casting for the title role against 9 other applicants. She is part of the Collective Ma’loube since 2018, playing the role of Farah in their third production Days in the Sun (Theater an der Ruhr, Mühlheim). In 2019, she started studying acting at the (Theaterakademie August Everding). In April 2019 she played the monodrama My Name is Manifesto as part of the theatre group OfW (without permanent residence) at the “Unframed Festival”. since March 2019 Baian has been studying at the Theatre Academy August Everding.
