Heba Mehrez is a Syrian dramaturge and playwright, born in Damascus in 1989, and studied theater studies at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in Damascus. Since she graduated in 2013 she worked in Damascus as a dramaturge and assistant director in the show »self-visit« 2014, and »Paradise« in 2015. In late 2015 she moved to Istanbul, where she worked in cultural journalism, after a year in Turkey she moved to Tunisia and wrote a cultural research entitled »The Syrian Cultural Product in Exile between Democratic Integration and Acculturation« in cooperation with the Ettijahat Organisation. There she also worked in teaching theater for children. At the end of 2018, she moved to Berlin and participated in many workshops and festivals in Germany and worked as a dramaturge in the play »Reading between Faces« in Berlin 2019.
