The closing concert of Creative Music Lab III celebrates a new generation of vocal artists from the Arab world.
Featuring Amel Sdiri, Hamsa Mounif, and Lana Oudeh, the evening brings together three distinct voices bridging classical Arabic traditions, jazz, and contemporary music.

Tarek Yamani Trio & Ensemble

The vocalists are joined by an ensemble led by Lebanese pianist and composer Tarek Yamani, internationally known for his innovative exploration of the relationship between Arabic rhythmic traditions and jazz.

Amel Sdiri

versatile vocalist with roots in classical Arabic music and lyrical singing, Amel Sdiri moves between multiple musical styles—from oriental and jazz to contemporary and experimental forms—bringing technical mastery and expressive depth to her performances.

Hamsa Mounif

A powerful and emotive singer trained in Damascus and London, Hamsa Mounif bridges classical and contemporary styles, performing with orchestras and ensembles while engaging with modern musical contexts.

Lana Oudeh

A young voice representing contemporary Arabic pop, Lana Oudeh creates emotionally resonant music that connects with new generations through authenticity, sensitivity, and modern sound.

Tarek Yamani

Born in Beirut, Tarek Yamani is a self-taught jazz pianist based in Berlin after years in New York. His music blends jazz with rhythms and modes from the Arabian Gulf and classical Arabic traditions. He has released acclaimed albums and is praised for his unique, poetic, and distinctive sound.

Igor Spallati

Born in Italy in 1985, he is a double bassist who began playing at 19 and studied classical bass in Italy before moving to Berlin to study at the Jazz Institut Berlin. He has collaborated with leading jazz musicians such as Joe Chambers, Billy Hart, and Fred Hersch.

Ugo Alunni

A percussionist from Perugia, Italy, he studied at the Conservatorio “Francesco Morlacchi” and in New York before continuing at the Jazz Institut Berlin, where he graduated in 2016. Based in Berlin, he has performed with various international jazz artists and ensembles.

Kinan Abuakel

A Syrian Buzuk player, composer, and project leader with 15 years of experience. He studied in Damascus and Amsterdam, performed internationally, received awards including AFAC and the UAE Golden Residence for Artists, released two albums, and leads music projects in the Netherlands focused on cultural exchange.

Elias Abboud

Syrian percussionist and composer, Elias Aboud is a soloist, chamber musician, and founder of the Ramal Ensemble. Blending Arabic music with contemporary and electroacoustic forms, he composes for theatre, solo, and chamber projects, performing internationally and leading music initiatives for children and refugees

Hannibal Saad

Hannibal Saad is a Syrian-American cultural curator and festival director with 30+ years of experience connecting artistic communities across Europe and the Middle East. He is the founder of Culture Unlimited Foundation and the creator of major intercultural platforms including Global Week for Syria and Culture Unlimited Festival.
His work blends contemporary music, heritage, and community engagement, focusing on migration, identity, and cultural dialogue.
